If you’re in Irvine or Orange County, here are a few trusted, local spots that can cater to your tasty celebration with due diligence — and responsibility.
Locally, Irvine hosts several tequila-friendly establishments — Javier’s at the Irvine Spectrum, Puesto Mexican Artisan Kitchen & Bar, and Cha Cha’s Latin Kitchen.
This year, Beau Du Bois, Bar and Spirits Creative Director at Puesto has created a menu of additive-free tequila cocktails, featuring over a dozen all made with additive-free tequilas, including El Tesoro, Del Maguey Vida, Olmeca Altos Reposado Tequila.
Puesto’s Hot Sauce Margarita is always a popular choice for any spice lover.
Featuring an exotic al-a-carte taco menu, SOL Mexican Cocina, with locations in Irvine and Newport Beach, is offering a few special renditions for the celebration.
The Berries & Blooms features Código 1530 Tequila Rosa Blanco, fresh raspberries, honey, Aperol aperitivo, and lime juice. A refreshing summer drink, subtly sweet. The fresh raspberries pack a floral and fruity punch.
For something refreshing and spicy, the Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita, made with crushed jalapeno slices, cucumber, fresh citrus, agave nectar, and blanco tequila is a perfect companion to any taco plate.
At the sister location, Solita Tacos + Margaritas, a Watermelon Margarita, made with crushed watermelon and 100% blue agave tequila blanco, with fresh lime.
Located in Laguna Beach, Las Brisas is offering a creamy, slightly spicy, coconut-infused cocktail called the Coco Verde, which is specifically catered to the ceviche lover.
It’s made with Casamigos Reposado Tequila, coconut, Ancho Reyes verde, and nutmeg.
