Starting Thursday, February 17, the mask requirements at Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure will be dropped in most situations.
As written, vaccinated individuals are not required to wear masks for indoor areas such as the park’s rides, or restaurants, while unvaccinated individuals are still being asked to wear masks.
While both the theme park and state of California “strongly recommend” that guests be vaccinated or take a COVID-19 test before attending, Disneyland does not require guests to show proof of either of those health checks. It instead opts for an honor system from guests.
The change reflected on its site, Tuesday, saying, “face coverings are required for unvaccinated Guests (ages 2 and older) in all indoor locations, including throughout indoor attractions and indoor queues.”
There is also no mask requirement while outdoors, regardless of vaccination status.
Where Masks Are Still Necessary
Regardless of vaccination, masks will be required of all guests riding the Disney shuttles, or entering a first aid facility.
California Mask Mandate
California lifted its indoor mask mandate for vaccinated individuals on Wednesday, although showing proof of vaccination to enter indoor spaces is still decided on a county-to-county basis.
Masks will still be required for all while riding public transportation, inside hospitals and homeless shelters.
