The Wild and Scenic Film Festival is a five-day ecological film festival, held in Nevada City, CA, that features 100 environmental and adventure films, workshops, talks and exhibitions. Although the festival has concluded, the Wild and Scenic Film Festival is taking its best works on tour, and stopping in Irvine this Saturday!
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour, hosted by the Irvine Ranch Conservancy at Quail Hill Community Center, is a short-film movie night, featuring nine films based on ecological responsibility and humans relationship with nature.
“We’re excited to bring this event to the Irvine Ranch Conservancy community because connecting people and nature can be done through various outlets, including film,” said Irvine Ranch Conservancy Program Coordinator Ashley Tirona. “After the event, we hope people reflect on their connection to nature and are inspired to become active or more active with conservation efforts.”
This night of interesting and educational films also includes a charity raffle, with prizes from companies like Patagonia, REI Co-op, Hangar 18 Indoor Climbing Gyms, and more.
Quail Hill Community Center will open its doors at 6 p.m., with films starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are available for online purchase only, through Brown Paper Tickets, with all proceeds supporting the Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour and Irvine Ranch Conservancy’s Art Meets Science education program.
