Evan J. LancasterOn Wednesday, June 29, the Irvine Police Department issued a statement regarding noticeable police activity near the Oxford Court community by William R. Mason Regional Park.
The department indicated that the entrance to Oxford Court is currently closed.

Photos of the situation shared by social media users showed police gathering in a residential neighborhood, along with what looked to be a law enforcement officer with a rifle.

The department indicated the situation is not a threat to the community, but advised to avoid the area.
