A 31-year-old woman suffered injuries after being hit by a Jaguar sports car while crossing the street in Irvine on Friday, August 13. The Irvine Police Department is asking the public to help identify the driver of a black Jaguar XJ that may have been involved.

On Thursday, Aug. 19, the Irvine Police posted photos of a black Jaguar XJ, with tinted windows and aftermarket rims. In a statement posted to Twitter, Irvine Police are looking for anyone with information about the owner of the Jaguar.
Police say the victim, a 31-year-old woman, was crossing the street inside of a crosswalk at Encanto and Molino in Irvine, a few blocks away from the Pretend City Children’s museum.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. on August 13. The woman suffered head injuries, a broken arm and a dislocated shoulder, according to Police.
In a statement, Irvine Police added that the Jaguar left the scene away without stopping to render aid to the victim and that the car could have sustained front bumper damage during the collision.
