Dialed Labs Founder Hosts Linda Isle Gala to Debut Dialed & Defend Charity; Fountain Valley and Pechanga Fire Stations First to Receive Recovery Equipment
When Ali Garawi watched firefighters battle the devastating January 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, he knew he’d found the cause he and his brother had been waiting for. The brothers had built successful wellness ventures with the goal of eventually channeling that success into meaningful impact. The fires made the path forward clear.
By summer 2025, the Garawis launched Dialed Labs, a wellness technology company bringing elite recovery equipment (saunas, cold plunge tubs, red light therapy) into modern homes. The business was positioned to scale. But the brothers saw an opportunity to do more than sell products.
On December 14, 2025, Ali Garawi opened his Linda Isle waterfront home to Orange County’s community leaders and the firefighters his new charitable initiative aims to serve. The exclusive gathering marked the official launch of Dialed & Defend, a charitable organization (pending 501(c)(3) status) with Dialed Labs committing $250,000 worth of recovery equipment to California fire departments. Fountain Valley and Pechanga fire stations have already received saunas and ice baths provided by Dialed Labs, with more installations planned across the state.
BUILDING A MOVEMENT THROUGH COMMUNITY

The afternoon celebration brought together an unlikely mix: philanthropists sipping champagne alongside firefighters in dress uniforms, wellness entrepreneurs mingling with local fire chiefs, all united by a shared mission to support first responder health.
Guests experienced wellness lounges featuring functional botanicals, premium caviar service rich in the same omega-3s and nutrients that support recovery, and live demonstrations of the saunas and ice baths being donated to fire stations. Most importantly, attendees connected directly with firefighters who shared the reality of their work and why recovery technology matters.
“We designed this event to bridge two worlds,” said Ali Garawi, Co-Founder and CEO of Dialed Labs and founder of Dialed & Defend. “On one side, people who have resources and want to give back. On the other, the firefighters who protect our communities every day. Bringing them together in a celebration, not a somber fundraiser, creates real connection and lasting impact.”
FROM WELLNESS BUSINESS TO SOCIAL MISSION
Before Dialed Labs, the brothers built Dialed Moods, a botanical wellness brand. Each venture was built with the same principle: make transformative wellness accessible.
From the beginning, the Garawi brothers had wanted to build businesses that could eventually fund real social impact. They just needed to find the right cause and the right moment.
“We watched firefighters working around the clock during the LA fires, breathing toxic smoke, their bodies breaking down in real time,” Garawi recalled. “Meanwhile, we’re building premium recovery equipment for wellness enthusiasts. These firefighters needed what we make more than anyone, but they had no access to it. It was our opportunity to make a difference, and make an impact.”
By fall 2025, Dialed & Defend was formed as a pending 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with Dialed Labs pledging the first $250,000 in equipment donations.

THE HIDDEN HEALTH CRISIS
Most people don’t realize the long-term health consequences firefighters face. Every fire exposes them to over 200 carcinogens like benzene and formaldehyde, plus heavy metals and hazardous chemicals that accumulate in their bodies over years. The physical demands (carrying 75+ pounds of gear, working in extreme heat, sleep deprivation across long shifts) create chronic inflammation and injuries that conventional rest can’t address.
Add the psychological toll of trauma, loss, and constant high-stakes pressure, and it’s clear why firefighter careers are often cut short by health issues rather than retirement age.
Dialed & Defend’s solution is simple but powerful: provide the same science-backed recovery tools used by professional athletes and wellness enthusiasts.
Saunas help firefighters detoxify through sweating, eliminating the toxic chemicals absorbed during emergency responses before they cause cancer or chronic disease.
Ice baths reduce the chronic inflammation that builds up from physical strain, accelerate muscle recovery between shifts, and strengthen immune function, keeping firefighters ready for the next call.
EQUIPMENT ALREADY MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Fountain Valley Fire Station and Pechanga Fire Station have already received and installed their equipment, giving firefighters access to recovery tools that were previously out of reach.
“The response has been encouraging and reveals just how needed this work is,” Garawi said. “Fire chiefs are reaching out from across Southern California asking how they can get equipment for their stations. It confirms what we suspected: the need is real and widespread.”
Fire departments can now request equipment through the Dialed & Defend website, with the organization working directly with leadership to coordinate delivery, installation, and training.
A CELEBRATION WITH PURPOSE
The Linda Isle setting (one of Orange County’s most exclusive private island communities) provided an elegant backdrop that reflected the premium quality of both the recovery equipment and the level of care first responders deserve.
Guests weren’t just writing checks. They were experiencing the technology, hearing directly from firefighters about the challenges they face, and understanding how recovery tools translate into longer careers and healthier lives.
“This wasn’t about guilt or obligation,” Garawi explained. “It was about celebration: honoring what firefighters do while showing our community a tangible way to support them. When people see the equipment, understand the science, and meet the firefighters who’ll use it, giving becomes personal.”

THE GARAWI BROTHERS’ ENTREPRENEURIAL LEGACY
Ali and Muha Garawi are first-generation Iraqi-American entrepreneurs who have consistently built businesses around accessibility. From bringing ancient botanicals to mainstream consumers with Dialed Moods, to now using Dialed Labs’ recovery technology to support first responders, their approach remains the same: leverage business success to create meaningful impact.
Now, with Dialed & Defend, they’re channeling business success into measurable social impact, proving that entrepreneurship and philanthropy aren’t separate paths but can fuel each other.
HOW TO SUPPORT
The December 14th gala was invitation-only, but the broader community can support Dialed & Defend through tax-deductible donations (pending 501(c)(3) approval). Every dollar funds the purchase and installation of recovery equipment in California fire stations.

LOOKING AHEAD
The $250,000 initial commitment is just the beginning. Garawi envisions a future where every fire station in California (and eventually nationwide) has access to recovery technology that helps firefighters stay healthy throughout their careers.
“Our firefighters give everything to protect us,” Garawi said. “The least we can do is give them the tools to protect themselves. This is personal now. It’s not just business, it’s a responsibility.”
