FivePoint, in partnership with the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation and the City of Irvine, will be hosting a live broadcast of the Staples Center’s public Kobe Bryant Memorial. The event will be this coming Monday, February 24, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Orange County Great Park Championship Soccer Stadium, and is free to the public.
The event honors the nine local residents who lost their lives in a devastating helicopter crash on January 26, including NBA Legend and Lakers star Kobe Bryant; Kobe’s daughter, Gianna Bryant; Alyssa, John and Keri Altobelli; Payton and Sarah Chester; Christina Mauser; and Ara Zobayan.
The full broadcast and audio of the Los Angeles event will be shown on the giant scoreboard screens of the Orange County Great Park Championship Soccer Stadium. Attendees are invited to watch from the stadium seats or may bring a blanket to sit and observe from the stadium field.
This is not the Great Park’s only memorial honoring the victims of last month’s tragic helicopter accident, as the iconic Great Park Balloon is currently wrapped with a logo of Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Sports Academy.
Join Irvine as we mourn this heartbreaking loss at the memorial’s live broadcast on Monday, February 24, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Championship Soccer Stadium, 8272 Great Park Blvd, Irvine, CA 92618 (directions). This event is free to the public.
