Orange County Soccer Club has hosted a multitude of events this year, including a yoga night and their Bacon, Bourbon and Beer Fest; not to mention their weekly soccer matches, which always seem to coincide with Orange County’s beautiful cotton candy sunsets.

This Saturday, OCSC will be hosting El Paso Locomotive SC for a match at Irvine’s Great Park, but that isn’t the only reason to head to Championship Soccer Stadium this weekend.

In addition to the game, OCSC will be hosting two special events, OCSC’s Fiesta De Futbol celebration beginning two hours before gametime, and then the Irvine Night Market for the duration of the game.

OCSC’s first annual Fiesta De Futbol aims to pay tribute to hispanic culture, and will feature hispanic food, music and even a free Lucha Libre wrestling match, presented by SoCal Pro Wrestling. Watch wrestlers like Blue Tornado and Pulpo Dorado square off in the ring from 4:45 to 6:15 p.m., right outside of the stadium.

Once OCSC and El Paso take the field, the Irvine Night Market will commence, boasting food trucks, multiple live bands, and wares made by local high school students, with proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Irvine Night Market was organized by IUSD High School MAW clubs from Irvine, Northwood, Portola, University and Woodbridge High School. These entrepreneurial high school clubs are competitively raising money for Make-A-Wish by selling items like clothing, jewelry, food and candles.

“We have a strong night market that these high schoolers put together. I just helped them along the way,” said Brian Tademy, OCSC’s partnership marketing director. “It’s been a great experience.”

OCSC is just getting started with their special events at Championship Soccer Stadium this season. On October 19th, in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club, OCSC will host a beer festival during their match against Fresno FC.

Tickets for all OCSC events are available on their website
