As part of a dual match week in Irvine, the Orange County Soccer Club will face off against the Los Angeles Force from the National Independent Soccer Association, on Tuesday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the club’s ninth appearance in the U.S. Open Cup.
With more than 100 years of consecutive games played in Open Cup history, the COVID-19 pandemic canceled U.S. Open Cup games during the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
Tuesday’s U.S. Open Cup match is set to be televised on ESPN+, and it is encouraging fans to use #USOC2022 on social media.
With a 5-7-2 record, OCSC looks to defeat the Force on Tuesday, but is also looking ahead to facing the San Antonio FC on Saturday, April 9, at Championship Stadium in Irvine.
San Antonio is currently in fourth place with nine points but OCSC has a game in hand on them heading into this contest.
