The 2022 Phillips 66 National Swimming Championships will take place in Irvine at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center beginning Tuesday, July 26. The city of Irvine announced the incoming four-day competition on Friday, July 22, with the help of a high-intensity Instagram video with a link to tickets. 

The 2022 Phillips National 66 Championship is back in Irvine, which is also the home to the USA Water Polo Organization, for the first time since 2019.

Heats will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the finals will begin at 5:00 p.m. 

In terms of events, both women and men will compete in the 200 Butterfly and 100 Freestyle on Tuesday. Women will also compete in an 800 Freestyle, and the men a 1500 Freestyle.

On Wednesday, Day 2, women and men will compete in the 200 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke and 200 Backstroke.  

Day 3, Thursday, July 28, will feature women and men 300 Individual Medley, and 100 Butterfly. 

Friday, the fourth day of the 66 Phillips National Championships, will feature a 400 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke and the 100 Backstroke for both women’s and men’s competitors. 

Saturday, July 30 will be the final day of the event. Women will swim the 1500 Freestyle. Women and men will compete in the 200 Individual Medleys, and the 50 Freestyle. Men will also swim the 800 Freestyle on Saturday.

Tiered tickets are available via Eventbrite, with a few different seating options. This year, guests can select general admission, poolside premium, and suite and hospitality tickets, which are located behind the starting blocks.
