“The love for churros is powerful, and some of the happiest churro memories people have are at Disneyland. We’re all about churro abundance for everyone and wanted to visit the heart of all the churro action and excitement.”
Picture this: you’re walking down South Harbor Boulevard, in the distance you see the Guardians of the Galaxy ride towering into the sky, surrounding you are crowds of families decked out in their best Disney merch, and then, there’s the comforting smell of churros lofting in the air. You then notice that the unbeatable smell, that same one that takes you back to your childhood self, is coming from the Howard Johnson Hotel.
On September 1st, San Diablo Artisan Churros brought the smell of warm, fresh, cinnamon-y churros to Anaheim, California. This highly anticipated pop-up was held at the Howard Johnson Hotel, and it brought out all the Disney and churro-fanatics together to enjoy a cozy day of fall. Guests in attendance were lucky to taste and enjoy the award winning San Diablo Artisan Churros churros, while learning to make them themselves with the San Diablo Fiesta in a Box kit.
Based out of Utah and founded by CEO Scott Porter, San Diablo Churros is making churros more accessible than ever before. With their Fiesta in a Box At Home Churro Kit, you no longer have to go to Main Street in Disneyland to get your hands on the delicious treat, but instead, you can make them straight from your kitchen. The kits come with all the tools, ingredients and step-by-step instructions and churro-making videos one could need to make their churro dreams come true. To make it even better, these Fiesta in a Box Churro Kits can be purchased through Amazon or be shipped directly to your front door by the San Diablo team.
Disneyland is one of the most popular places people associate with churros. So naturally, Porter knew that he had to introduce Disneyland-churro lovers to the kits that are taking the dessert-making experience to the next (easiest) level. In order to bring the crowd of churro lovers, some churro loving fun at the Happiest Place on Earth, Scott — also known as “the churro guy” — along with his team, hosted the San Diablo Artisan Churros pop-up at the Howard Johnson hotel … sending the delicious aroma of churros into the streets. In attendance were about 200 guests, including influencers like @thelovedesignedlife and @fridaywereinlove who are San Diablo fans. At the pop-up event, guests were able to eat and create their own churros while hanging out and enjoying another perfect Disneyland day of fall. It can make our mouths drool just thinking about it.
When asked about the event Scott said, “We had a blast providing fresh filled churros samples to the guests and influencers at the Howard Johnson in Anaheim! And we loved introducing them to our at-home churro making kit so they can keep the magic alive and make churro memories at home!”.
If you want to try San Diablo Churros for yourself, they are available to purchase on their website as well as on Amazon. Once ordered, the Fiesta in a Box will be shipped directly to you, so you can experience the magic and memories that churros can bring!
