The city of Irvine gave residents an up close look at the progress inside Wild Rivers Water Park thanks to some awesome flyover footage posted on social media. Now, as construction continues, insiders expect the highly anticipated opening of Wild Rivers to happen in early June.

With new website updates, along with a recent job fair, Wild Rivers is moving quickly to make final touches as the public gears up to go inside.

With so much focus on the Irvine-based water park over the last few years, people of all ages were eager to know what to expect inside. With the Island Sweet Snack Bar and the Pacific Grille, there will be plenty of ways to beat the heat.

And for those old enough to partake in alcoholic beverages, the Mustang Bar will be keeping plenty of beer and cocktails on ice during your visit.

In November, Wild Rivers debuted annual passes for Summer 2022, but did not reveal an opening date at the time. Season passes were capped at 10,000.

Construction on the $60 million project, which is located in the Great Park, began in July 2021. Prior to its groundbreaking, Wild Rivers was met with delays over funding.

Originally slated to break ground in April 2021, the project was met with challenges, but was finally able to acquire the funding needed to begin construction.
