The Irvine Police Department is seeking the identity of a man wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old female victim inside the Target on Jamboree Rd. on Monday, May 24.

IPD has released security footage from Target that shows the suspect entering the store. The video, uploaded to the IPD YouTube page on Friday, May 28, has been viewed more than 8,300 times.

In a statement, IPD reported that a man walked into the store and began following an 11-year-old female who was shopping with her family.

When the victim walked down an aisle alone, the suspect came up from behind and groped the victim, before exiting the store.

Based on the appearance in the video, the suspect is a thin white male, 5-feet, 7-inches tall, between the age of 35-45. The man was last seen wearing a long sleeve button up, grey pants with cuffs at the bottom and flip flops.

After the assault inside Target, the man fled in a 2014-2018 bright green-colored Kia Soul.
