Bill Clinton, former President of the United States, was admitted to UC Irvine medical center in Orange, Calif., due to an infection, a spokesman revealed Thursday, Oct. 14.
In a tweet, Angel Ureña, a spokesman for former the president, said Clinton was admitted to UC Irvine Medical Center on Tuesday, Oct. 12 for an blood infection, not related to COVID-19.
Ureña, said Clinton, 75, is now recovering from his treatment and thankful for the care he has received at UCI Medical Center.

Ureña also tweeted a joint statement on behalf of Clinton’s medical team at UCI Medical Center, Dr. Alpesh Amin and Dr. Lisa Bardack.

While the infection was not specified, his medical team was monitoring his white blood cell count, due to the infection.
While at UCI Medical Center, Clinton was given fluids and antibiotics, which his physicians reported positive results.
It is unclear when Clinton will be released.
