The Great Park Town Hall will be held at Hangar 244, an event space located inside the Great Park that holds the the Heritage and Aviation Exhibition. In addition to this series of in-person Town Hall meetings, Irvine has also created a digital foyer, with interactive surveys that will be used for online outreach.
The Great Park’s Digital Foyer gives visitors a 3-D walk-through on the different phases of development within the 1,300 acre Great Park and uses the interactive surveys to acquire community input on what residents hope to see, as new development begins.
Irvine will also be hosting a series of meetings with Great Park Home Owners Associations and will host another meeting on December 1 that will continue to seek input on the Great Park’s master plan from the public.
After the series of town hall meetings is completed, the city will present the findings from the community to the Great Park Board of Directors early next year.
Recently, on Tuesday, Sept. 28, the Great Park Board of Directors unanimously voted to accept new aspects of development within the Great Park’s Master Plan, including a $7.2 million architectural and engineering contract for the Cultural Terrace Facility Reuse Plan.
Other aspects of future development include a 75-acre botanical garden, Wild Rivers Water Park, and the potential relocation of the FivePoint Amphitheater.
Hanger 244 is located inside the Great Park at 8000 Great Park Blvd., Irvine. For more information on the Great Park Town Hall meeting, please click here.
