With COVID-19 cases steeply increasing after the holiday weekend, many holiday travelers and local residents are undoubtedly looking for tests. In terms of where to find tests, Irvine, along with other cities in Orange County, are hosting appointment-based COVID-19 clinics at different locations throughout the county.
Appointments are required. The county is currently offering PCR tests that are free of cost to patients. There are number of different COVID-19 tests available at a cost.

The Irvine Unified School District, along with Tustin Unified School District, are offering free at-home test kits for students and faculty. However, IUSD has also encouraged families to seek tests through the family health care provided when possible.
As of Wednesday, Jan. 5, the Orange County Health Agency had processed a total of 6,220,495 COVID-19 tests. Accumulatively, Orange County has reached 362,166 COVID-19 cases to date.
John Wayne Airport is also offering rapid testing at the Hoag Health Clinic in Terminal B, along with the Fly Well Clinic, which is also located inside Terminal B.
Additionally, the Orange County Health Agency has self-collection PCR testing kits available to order and can be delivered to ZIP codes within Orange County.
