As the COVID-19 outbreak has grown, people have rightfully been alarmed. Panicked shoppers have flocked to grocery stores and big-box retailers in an effort to stock up while they can. Despite reassurances from local and national leaders that supply chains will not be disrupted and goods will remain available, shelves are repeatedly emptied and essential household goods are hoarded.

Long lines can be seen at the store, regardless of social distancing mandates. While businesses like Costco have attempted to enforce community safety measures like spaced out lines and staggered entry, the issue of crowding remains.

Given how the coronavirus spreads, large crowds are a danger to all, especially the most vulnerable in our society. As social media demand for protections reached a crescendo over the past week, Irvine businesses have answered the call and adjusted their service hours to allow all to safely shop.

The Irvine Company has created a list of Irvine and Tustin grocers that offer special shopping hours for senior citizens and those with underlying health conditions. The list can be found here. We have also copied it below in order to ensure the information is spread to all those who need it. Specifics including full hours of operation and reserved times are found in the Store Hours section.

Hours are subject to change, and are currently in effect from now until an estimated date of April 19, 2020.
