With vocalist Jeff Gutt firmly in place having lost original man Scott Weiland as well as temporary singer Chester Bennington, Stone Temple Pilots released their eighth studio album and first all-acoustic album Perdida this year. Their second with Gutt, it’s a piece of work that has gone under the radar a little but deserves more attention.
That said, this week’s livestream is all about celebrating the past, and the band will be performing the debut Core album from start to finish. Those who have seen the band live (pre-COVID) since Gutt joined swear that he fits right in when singing old tunes such as “Sex Type Thing,” “Wicked Garden” and “Plush.” See for yourself.
