For the first time in more than a year, Orange County Soccer Club will be welcoming back fans at their home pitch at the Orange County Great Park in Irvine, on Saturday, May 22.

OCSC fans can now catch the team’s first home game against the Sacramento Republic FC. The Irvine-based soccer organization was also excited to announce a variety of fun events, including family game nights, multiple beer fests and theme nights that will happen over the course of the 2021 season.

Jeff Garner, president of business of relations for Orange County Soccer Club said the last year has been challenging, but the OCSC is looking forward to fans returning to Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine. 

“After a year of game nights with family and friends indoors, we are ready to welcome fans back to Championship Stadium for a new and improved ‘Family Game Night’ promising the best and safest experience available,” Garner said. “It is our goal for this season to be the most engaging and exciting fan experience on and off the field and we want the community to know that OCSC games are the best family event value in all of Orange County.” 

In terms of events, there will also be a “Dollar Beer & Cheap Eats” night, along with two Saturday Firework nights. Here’s a look at OCSC’s 2021 home schedule at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine.

  • Saturday, May 22nd – OCSC Home Opener, all fans in attendance will receive schedule magnets to kickoff the season.  
  • Wednesday, June 9th vs San Diego Loyal SC – “Dollar Beers & Cheap Eats”
  • Saturday, July 17th vs Rio Grande Valley FC – Military Appreciation Night and soccer ball giveaway.
  • Saturday, July 24th vs Sacramento Republic FC – special premium giveaway. 
  • Saturday, August 7th vs LA Galaxy II – 405 Derby, Summer Beer Fest, and Fireworks Spectacular.
  • Wednesday, August 18th vs Tacoma Defiance – “Girl Power Night” including “Dollar Beers & Cheap Eats.”
  • Saturday, September 3rd vs El Paso Locomotive FC – Fall Beer Fest.
  • Saturday, September 25th vs Oakland Roots SC – “Fireworks and Fenders”: A Car Show and Fireworks Spectacular.
  • Saturday, October 2nd Phoenix Rising FC – Winter Ale Beer Fest and Scottish Festival
  • Wednesday, October 13th vs Phoenix Rising FC – “Fiesta de Futbol” Celebration, including “Dollar Beers & Cheap Eats.”
  • Wednesday, October 20th vs San Diego Loyal SC – “Dollar Beers & Cheap Eats.”

In terms of attendance, OCSC has not specifically announced how many tickets will be available for the first home game on May 22. However, California Department of Health requirements for outdoor events in the orange tier allow for a maximum capacity 33%, which includes 25% of suite capacity.
