Ozuna Headlines Dale Fuego Fest Saturday in Long Beach

Ozuna is a global superstar. While Cardi B and Drake lead the rap game, this Puerto Rican singer leads the way for all Latin, reggaeton, Spanish trap recording artists to follow. The numbers speak for themselves, with over 15.8 million followers on Instagram and reeling in well over 1 billion views on YouTube

In fact, at the end of last year, Ozuna was the most viewed artist of 2018 (regardless of language or music genre). His catalog of hits runs deep, refreshing your memory with “No Quiere Enamorarse,” “Si No Te Quiere”, “Dile Que Tu Me Quieres”, “Te Vas”, “Tu Foto”, “El Farsante”, “Se Preparó”, “Síguelo Bailando”, “La Modelo”… the list goes on. When it comes to collaborations, “La Rompe Corazones” with Daddy Yankee, “La Ocasión” with De La Ghetto, “Diles” with Bad Bunny come equipped with equal replay value.

Now, Ozuna gears up to take over Dale Fuego Fest, a premiere one-day urban Latin experience in Long Beach, California. On Saturday, August 10, concert-goers from all walks of life will be able to converge at the Queen Mary Events Park to enjoy sets from Anitta, Khea, Alex Sensation, Rauw Alejandro, Lary Over, Malu Trevejo and more. This isn’t just an opportunity to see your favorite act perform, but also fall in love with new names on the bill you may have never heard of.

With Ozuna hailing from Puerto Rico, he spoke to Irvine Weekly on the support he’s received from SoCal. “From the beginning of my career, fans in Southern California have embraced my music,” said Ozuna. “I took risks knowing I have the L.A. fans behind me and broke some records. I just finished a tour across Europe … and why not? The L.A. fans deserve to see that show. Dale Fuego Festival allows me to bring the excitement to Southern California.”

In addition to this being Ozuna’s only performance in Southern California for the entire year, this will be a day of live performances, endless food options (and churros), great company and overall vibes.

He remembers, “Some of the early opportunities to take my music everywhere were music  festivals, that was how I began performing in stages with artists I admired and paved the way for my music. Dale Fuego could become that, a place where Latin music is celebrated and new artists can rise to the challenge and become successful.”

The festival is presented by Goldenvoice and Elite Media & Marketing, arriving two weeks after Snoop Dogg’s explosive two-day Once Upon A Time in The LBC festival. To give some insight on Ozuna’s track record, in 2017 he sold out the Microsoft Theater before releasing a project – the same venue the Grammys and BET Awards are held. One year later, the first show on his AURA USA TOUR at The Forum in Inglewood became the most populated Latin event to take place in the historic venue.

A rep from Goldenvoice explained, “We are thrilled to have Ozuna at the Queen Mary and show our Long Beach festival goers an amazing performance unlike anything they have seen at the events park before. Ozuna is truly remarkable. His live performances are on the ‘can’t miss’ list.”

Before we move on to exploring some other names on the bill, we celebrate Ozuna’s accomplishments in being the biggest finalist in the history of Billboard Latin Awards: 23 nods, 15 categories, 11 wins. Attendees can expect his viral hit song “Taki Taki,” “Se Preparó” and cuts from his forthcoming album NIBIRU.

Other artists performing at the festival include Anitta, who hails from Brazil and delivers an urban, exotic blend. Colombian DJ Alex Sensation, 19-year-old Khea, reggae trap singer Rauw Alejandro, Latin trap artist Lary Over and Cuban born celebrity Malu Trevejo are also on the bill.

Passes for the fest can be purchased online here. This will be a family affair with all ages welcome and children 5 and under entering for free.
