The 2020 holiday season is here, and to kick off the festivities the Irvine Spectrum Center has announced the return of its rooftop drive-in movie program. Starting Friday, Nov. 20 the Irvine Spectrum will host Holiday Drive-In Movie Nights, along with an array of other holiday themed activities happening at the Irvine Spectrum and Irvine Market Place in November and December.

On Tuesday, Nov. 17, the Irvine Spectrum shared the news about its upcoming holiday activities on Instagram.

“Guess what? Back by popular demand – Drive In Movies at the #IrvineSpectrumCenter return starting this Friday,” the post read.

Based on the positive feedback from Instagram users, people were eager to see the Irvine Spectrum’s rooftop drive-in movies return to entertain crowds under the stars, as they did during the middle of the pandemic.

“We loved these in summer,” Instagram user @PhillyGirl.InCali commented on the Spectrum holiday announcement post.

“Can’t wait!” Instagram user @scottjprusko commented, adding a snowflake emoji.

While the full holiday schedule for the Irvine Spectrum’s Holiday Drive-In is not yet available, there are already a few classic films being shown during the opening weekend – including the holiday-favorite, Elf.
