On Tuesday, May 4, the Irvine Police Department announced an on-going homicide investigation, which was focused on a residence inside a gated community located off of Alton Parkway and Eagle Creek. The residence was located on a street named Red Apple.
Responding to an email to Irvine Weekly, Irvine Police Sergeant Karie Davies said the female victim will be identified once her family is notified. Davies added that there are no suspects at large, and no one has been charged with a crime.
However, in a tweet, IPD did report that two males were detained at the scene.
The Irvine Police Department is currently investigating a homicide at a residence on Red Apple in Irvine. Preliminary information indicates that the homicide is domestic related and there are no suspects outstanding. Two males have been detained from the residence.

IPD has reported four homicides that have occurred in Irvine since October 2019. Tuesday’s homicide was not yet included in crime reports.
