With its grand opening scheduled for Summer 2022, Wild Rivers Water Park in Irvine is slated to release the first batch of season passes to purchase on Monday, Nov. 1.
Wild Rivers’ opening season will be at limited capacity and Season Passes will be capped at 10,000. Current Season Pass prices are listed at $160, and day passes are listed at $65, per its website.
Wild Rivers gave members of its mailing list a chance at early access to its 2022 Season Passes on Monday, according to president of Wild Rivers Water Park, Mike Riedel. In text messages with Irvine Weekly, Riedel said there’s plenty of interest from the community. When asked if he thought season passes might sell out on the first day, Riedel was uncertain.
“Probably not but response has been great so they might,” he wrote in a text to Irvine Weekly.
Wild Rivers 2022 Season Passes will be available for the general public to purchase on Monday, Nov. 1 at 7:00 p.m.
In the last few weeks, Wild Rivers has shared more details of Irvine’s soon-to-be water park, as it prepares for its 2022 re-opening. In October, Wild Rivers posted a virtual fly-over of the park’s new design.
However, some residents were disappointed in the renderings, and asked if the minute-long video contained all the new rides and attractions.
“The rides are way better. The fly through does not include all the slides,” Wild Rivers wrote to a comment on its Facebook page.
Construction on the $60 million project began in July, which is located in the Great Park. Prior to its groundbreaking in July, Wild Rivers was met with delays over funding.
Originally slated to break ground in April 2021, the project was met with challenges, but was finally able to acquire the funding needed to begin construction in late June.
